“O give thanks unto the Lord , for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever. Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy;” Psalms 107:1-2 KJV
The bible says, “let the redeemed of the Lord say so”. Only those who know of can speak of. One cannot say about that which he does not know of. Therefore it is only the redeemed that know of the Mercies of God.
The redeemed not only knows God’s Mercies but also knows that it is an essential characteristic indentification of God. Why? Because it endures forever.
Therefore, the Lord instructs the redeemed to ‘Say So‘. We must outwardly express our thanks to God and speak of his mercies. It is so necessary that Psalms 107 repeats these words 4 times throughout the chapter… “Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!”
Psalms 107:8 KJV.
The Lord also wants the redeemed to “… exalt him also in the congregation of the people, and praise him in the assembly of the elders.”
Psalms 107:32 KJV. This verse tells us to testify among the Lord’s people.
Why are testimonies important? Because “The righteous shall see it, and rejoice: and all iniquity shall stop her mouth. Whoso is wise, and will observe these things, even they shall understand the lovingkindness of the Lord .” Psalms 107:42-43 KJV
God Bless.
