Do you set personal goals for yourself?

I must admit, while I keep trying to do the best i can, I think I neglect to really be purposeful at setting personal goals. 🤔

I like this question. I think it’s a good way to gauge where you are in whatever path you are on. It’ll also help with assessing if whatever you’re doing is beneficial or successful or necessary.

Sometimes, those who do a lot also have a lot of high expectations for themselves and a bucket list of things to do. But i dont think those things are the same as setting goals. Even if you can check some things off on a list, it doesn’t mean they were personal goals. Many of those items are an abundance of hopes that are a bit more realistic than dreams and accessible enough to accomplish at some point in life. I’m thinking personal goals should be more like a directional road map with an ETA, mile markers, and rest stops, leading up to the destination.

This the 2nd question I’ve had to ask myself in the space of 20 min lol.

Looks like I’ve got some personal goal setting to do 😀.
