It is a beautiful thing to be in a place where the things you needed, and moreover what you’ve wanted, God provides? Now picture being in that place with God, and then wanting something and choosing to go out and get it yourself, when God has been your supplier all along. God is not inadequate, nor is any need or want to hard for him to deliver. I’ve been in a place where I needed something and I went out and got it, and made myself out to be a fool…. Why? Because God has not been slack on his promises towards me (2 Peter 3:9). When I go out and do things in my own will, I am telling him that I don’t believe he can provide it. Since then, God has supplied me with over 3 times the same exact thing that I got on my own at no cost. I don’t need it now, but he did it over and over again till i understood what he was doing and to prove a point. Now how did that make me feel? Foolish.
The bible says:
“And Nathan said to David, Thou art the man. Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, I anointed thee king over Israel, and I delivered thee out of the hand of Saul; And I gave thee thy master’s house, and thy master’s wives into thy bosom, and gave thee the house of Israel and of Judah; and if that had been too little, I would moreover have given unto thee such and such things.” 2 Samuel 12:7-8 KJV
Is there anything too hard for God? He loves us so much that he gave his only begotten son (John 3:16). If that wasn’t too hard for him to do, then meeting your needs is surely a piece of cake.
