The answer is ‘Grace’.

How many times have we been stuck in a problem and wondered how can we make it through?  How many times have we looked back and wondered how did we make it through? How many times do we think about our future and wonder, how will we make it through?  The answer is Grace.

“For it is by Grace you have been saved, through faith and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God.  Not by works, so that no one can boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9NIV

In all those situations, present, past and future, there is one thing in common… Caught in the issues of life, we can do nothing in our own strength.  We didn’t earn it and we certainly didn’t work for it.  And God made it just so, so that we can’t boast about it. It was a Gift.  The most selfless gift we could, have and would ever receive in our lives.  Nothing and no one can top the gift of Grace.

“For he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.  Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” 2 Corinthians 12:9KJV.  What does that mean? Grace is the strength of God and the pre-requisite of Grace is weakness. Without weakness, the Grace of God cannot show up.  And if Grace does not show up, how can we know God. For God is Grace. “…the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.” 1 Peter 5:10NIV.  God allows our struggle so that his Grace can do what we ourselves can’t do.  It is only through our trials and tests that we really get to see what we’re made of. Unfortunately, we don’t get to test it out before others see what we’re made of.  Both you and your opposition find out at the same time.  And this is how the enemy comes to attack us again and again. When we’re caught off-guard we instinctively take a stand in our own strength, and the enemy expects that.  That’s the upper hand that the enemy has. He’s never caught off-guard by our own strength because, he’s been watching us, and knows what we’re capable off on our own, that’s why usually we find ourselves in a place where we feel like we’re backed into a corner.  You don’t really expect the enemy not to know us when that is his full time round the clock job right?

The bible says “…if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” 2 Corinthians 5:17KJV.  Now that’s where we have the devil stumped.  That new creature has Grace covered all over it and now we have blocked the enemy out.  “For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.”  The bible says that the Law is not sinful, “Nevertheless, I would not have known what sin was had it not been for the law.” Romans 7:7NIV. “…I found that the very commandment that was intended to bring life actually brought death. For sin, seizing the opportunity afforded by the commandment, deceived me, and through the commandment put me to death. So then, the law is holy, and the commandment is holy, righteous and good” Romans 7:10-12NIV.   The devil has a plan of attack and his strength is through the Law because the law requires death for sin.  However, knowing what sin is, is the exposure of Satan’s plan.  What cancels out this plan, is amazing Grace.  The Grace God has covered us with by the sacrifice of his son Jesus, has paid the required death for sin.  Since God is an eternal God, then whatever he does is eternal, that means that that price is paid for all sin forever.  Now that is amazing Grace.

Now we can catch satan off-guard with our response when he attacks, and we can be strong, firm and steadfast, because we have been restored through Jesus Christ. Now being in Christ, we are fighting on two different relms; Satan brings his attack from the Law and we fight back with Grace, and that’s God’s strength, not ours.  Win Win.

So how did we make it through? Grace. How do we make it through? Grace.  How will we make it through? Grace. Whether Past, Present or Future; We do it with Grace. We know God, through Grace. Our opposition knows God, through Grace. We stand with Grace. We win with Grace.

“Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.” Hebrews 4:16NIV.

No matter the problem, no matter the need, the answer is Grace. Be Blessed.
