Restore means to bring back, repair, or clean.
The bible says “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” Eph 4:32 NIV
Like water is to a kettle, Forgiveness is to acknowledgement.
We cannot receive forgivenesss without being in acknowledgement of where we went wrong. Like the water, it cannot be boiled and the impurities removed if we do not put it in a kettle and put it on the fire. It is so with forgiveness. We must bring our wrong in a pot of acknowledgement and take it to the alter of fire so that our sin will be removed (the act of forgiveness) and the purity we receive in exchange for our sin is restoration.
My prayer: Lord your word says “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”
1 John 1:9 NIV. Lord help me to walk in accordance and obedience to your word and acknowledge my wrongs so that you can restore me whenever I fall. “Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.” Psalm 139:23-24 NIV.
I am not perfect but my Lord is a Perfector and a Restorer “… He hath done all things well..” Mark 7:37 KJV
Amen
