Experience Faith

2 Corinthians 5:7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)

Because we don’t see it yet doesn’t mean that we are walking blindly.

Someone who is blind has increased sensibilities in other areas. For example, they may have a heightened sense of hearing or touch or smell. When we can’t connect in one area, there has to be another heightened sense of awareness that connects us to what we can’t see.

There are so many things that we don’t see but are sure of. Let’s take for instance the wind, pain, and hunger. We can’t see them but we can feel them. The thing about these things is that you must first feel (experience) them in order to then believe (faith) that they are present and understand the nature of them.

“Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” Hebrews 11:1 NIV

With God it is the opposite. We must first believe (faith) that he exists in order to have the opportunity to then feel (experience) his presence as we seek him and come to know him.

The bible says “If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.” Matt 21:22 NIV

Some may wonder, why it is that those who work evil have such power?  Simple.  They believe.  It is amazing the power we give to the enemy; and to our God, we believe in him but we doubt our abilities.  Jesus said, “…If you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do…but also you can say…and it will be done.” Matt 21:21 NIV  “Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father” John 14:12 NIV  “Don’t you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you I do not speak on my own authority. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work.” John 14:10

Who is living in us?  Is it not the father through his son Jesus through the Holy Spirit? “…The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.” John 14:17 NIV

Because he lives in us we can do amazing things, we can speak things into existence.

My Prayer:  Lord, help me to realize the power within me that I have through you.  Help me to not take it lightly but believe in you that “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” Philippians 4:13 KJV.

Amen
