Alone time

“God understands the way to it and he alone knows where it dwells,…” Job 28:23 NIV.

If God alone knows, then we ought to seek him alone. Building a relationship with God calls for one-on-one time. It cannot be sought and acquired in the midst of distraction. If we make alone time to focus and talk with God alone, then he will show us the way.

My Prayer: Lord, help me to seek you alone. For your word says when I seek you with all my heart, I will find you (Jeremiah 29:13). I understand that being alone doesn’t just mean being physically alone when I seek you, but being alone also means clearing my heart of all my desires and filling it with you alone. That is what you mean by seeking you with all my heart. I understand that I can’t find you with only a portion of my heart and if I try to do so, I can be easily deceived by what may appear to be you. I acknowledge that it is you that understands the way and it is you and only you that know the way. If I seek anyone other than you to show me the way, I will truly be lost. I come to you right now asking for understanding and direction In Jesus Name Amen.
