The Life of Freedom

Peace – Freedom from disturbance. The ability to be calm. The desire to be on one accord. The beginning of friendship. Reconciliation of wrong. Agreeing to be neutral. Forming a treaty or a union. The underlying, silent, and many times overlooked word that validates love.

Peace.

Who wants peace but has a heart filled with anger? Who is starved of peace while silenced under so much humility that it stiffles love? Who has peace but is naive to the turmoil of others that hinders the basis of appreciation?

Words are often spoken before we understand. Choices are often made before clarity is revealed. Actions are often done before meditating on our thoughts. Emotions often erupt before confidence is secure.

John 14:27 NLT says “I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.”

Peace is a gift. The world may misunderstand it as something that has to be taken, requested, demanded, divided equally, or fought for in order to be acquired. But the peace of God is given freely to those who believe in Jesus Christ and receive the Holy Spirit who comforts, balances, stabilizes, and fulfills the inner being of the mind and heart with the acknowledgement that you are loved beyond any form of commitment or enjoyment that the world can ever offer you. You are loved so much that the Lord mentions your name daily without failure.

This gift is a birthright that is bestowed on you as a born again believer if the gospel of Christ; and when it resides within you, you don’t have to look for it. It’s yours and the world does not have the authority nor the power to take that away from you.

So don’t just talk the talk of freedom and walk the walk for freedom, but live the life of Freedom through the tri-unity of Peace (Holy Spirit), Love (God the father), and Grace (Jesus Christ).

Be blessed,

G.M.
