All You Need Is One!

“There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.” Ephesians 4:4-6 NKJV

It only takes one, to make or break things. One storm, one drunk driver, one volcano, one tornado, one who is has a deranged mind, an irrational thinker, one who acts only based on instinct and no reasoning whatsoever, to destroy everything in its path, and everything that one has worked hard to build, grow, and pour their everything into. But it also takes one to restore, one to repay, one to save. John 3:16 KJV says “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son,…”. And the beauty of the son, Jesus Christ, is what his one body represents. 1 Corinthians 12:12 ESV says “For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ.” The sacrifice of Christ’s one body, made the Holy Spirit accessible to all bodies, counting us members of the one body of Christ, and giving us a direct connection to God the Father, thereby increasing the strength and multitude of the one. And just by simply believing in Christ he has given us all the benefits of the multitude found in the one body, to do even more than he had the time and the chance to do while he walked this earth (and just in that short time, even that was a lot). John 14:12 ESV says ““Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I am going to the Father.”

No matter what your trials and hardships are in life, if you do it alone, you are only one (singular), but if you do it with our one Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the value of your one (singular) has just been enormously increased and continues to grow with each believer added daily to the body of Christ. What an enormous return on one investment! The greatest investment you’ll ever make that not only has the the greatest return on earth but also the greatest reward in heaven.
