Loose is an action word that God admires. Why? Because it has to be done with a Purposeful heart. Even God had to make a purposeful decision to loose his only begotten son from himself in order to reap the benefits of all that was locked up in bondage.
God loves when we make a conscious decision to follow his ways, his word, and his example. I think most can agree that the things we find ourselves fighting to hold on to, are minuscule compared to what God has in store for us. The bible says…
“Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” Matthew 18:18 NIV
As we go through life we must remember that God lives and works through us. His spirit is free when we loose it from the bondage of the issues of life. Therefore, whatever we hold on to and choose not to release, means that we are in turn causing God to do the same with his blessings because we are blocking his flow from him to us because we didn’t release.
This principle applies to everything including spiritual fruit. If we hold on to anger, love cannot come through; If we hold onto sadness, joy cannot flow. But, when we loose those feelings and even material things, that we refuse to let go of (most times due to sentimental reasons), we then unlock what God has in store for us.
“All these blessings will come on you and accompany you if you obey the Lord your God: You will be blessed in the city and blessed in the country. The fruit of your womb will be blessed, and the crops of your land and the young of your livestock—the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks. Your basket and your kneading trough will be blessed. You will be blessed when you come in and blessed when you go out. The Lord will grant that the enemies who rise up against you will be defeated before you. They will come at you from one direction but flee from you in seven. The Lord will send a blessing on your barns and on everything you put your hand to…” Deuteronomy 28:2-8 NIV
Be Blessed,
