The Spiritual Perspective

The world has a way of changing our perspectives on the way we look at things based on separation of class and color. When we buy eggs in the grocery store we automatically are geared towards thinking that white eggs are unhealthy and brown eggs are healthy. False. Eggs are eggs no matter the color of the shell; the color is only shell deep. There are breeds of black, brown, red, or orange colored chickens that lay white eggs, etc. What makes an egg wholesome or good for you is what you feed the chicken and how you raise the chicken up, and the quality of life that you afford the chickens.  Room to breathe room to have a choice where to walk or sit or when to pluck about in the soil. When to stand out in the drizzle and when to seek shelter when it rains. When to fan its tail in the dirt or walk upright and proud.

Some believe that Jesus was black some believe that he was white. Some believe that Mary is to be worshiped for birthing the savior. Will we continue separate and distance ourselves from the very essence of our Lord, from his purpose, from salvation, from eternal life? Is that what makes him worthy to be praised, because we feel he was one of us? What is our foundation for believing? Are we standing on his promises or his history, oh boy, this is a mystery! Will we choose not to worship him because of what he may or may not have looked like? What happened to in spirit and in truth!

It is evident throughout the Bible that Jesus came in many forms, and that he looked like whichever group of people he was amongst; as high as kings and as low as servants. For as many times one had to ask, is this Jesus, who is this Jesus, which one is Jesus… Therefore It is not shocking that many different religions have written about him in the way that he appeared to them and their experience of who God is. Who God is, is bigger and greater than we can ever imagine.

Today, all religions, nationalities, races… are no longer separated by land and great distances. We are woven into society in a way that we see each other every day. Now, being exposed to Jesus in all forms, ignorance is no excuse. How can we base our love for him on anything other than who he is? Who he is is not in physical appearance… Who he is, is not skin deep…

“But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.” John 4:23-24 KJV.

“Wherefore thou art great, O Lord God: for there is none like thee, neither is there any God beside thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears.” 2 Samuel 7:22 KJV

My Prayer:  Lord I receive your spirit into my heart, and I believe that I am a child of God through your son Jesus Christ.  I believe as you said in your word (John 1:12), that ALL who receive your son, Jesus, and believe in his name, you have given the right to become children of God.  I believe that your word stands true, and that our struggle is NOT against flesh and blood, but against rulers, against authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil (Ephesians 6:12). Amen.
