Sometimes we bring more things on ourselves than we need to. Ever notice that sometimes when we let the worry or fear that comes into our minds show itself in our actions or when we simply make it known through our mouth, eventually those fears or worries become more and more validated by the experiences we encounter?
That’s our fault. Satan has powers, and spiritual forces of evil that stay close in every level of our lives just looking for a weak spot to hone in on and take us away from the will of God. He can see what’s in your path, he can see what you’re headed to and he can alter the influences based on the challenges that we struggle with.
I think of life as a soccor field. We always have a goal to make and obstacles seeking every moment we’re wide open to take a hit at our home base. Every goal the opposition gets sets us back a step and makes us try harder to push through while guarding ourselves.
Epicsports.com describes among others some steps on how to play goalie… ”

- Speed up your reflex time.
- Read your opponent.
”
Wow. I couldn’t have said it any better. We gotta stay on our toes. Don’t let the enemy know what you’re thinking, don’t show or say your fears or your worries, keep satan guessing. He can’t play on what he doesn’t know.
We gotta take pride and take care of our bodies (the temple of God) and even more so to feed our minds with things of God. The bible says to “Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.”
Ephesians 6:13 NIV
We need ” …the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.”
