What is something others do that sparks your admiration?
Most recently and my ears have been perking up when people talk about actually doing things that they love to do. They go out of their way to acquire the resources, and set aside the time to actually accomplish it. With the way the world works on the busiest of clocks, I think that it’s really lovely and such a beautiful thing that people are able to enjoy doing the thing they love to do.
I’ve also been especially attentive when people speak about their work ethic. It really speaks volumes to me when I hear others express passion and importance towards effectiveness and efficiency. Many people are so quick to get the job done in the least amount of steps and time, and that chips away at quality.
Quality is the essence of our character. Without it, we end up with the cheapest version of ourselves. And when it’s practiced enough, it can create a pattern that impacts our thinking (as well as our responses) and redefines who we are and how we are viewed by others. It changes who calls on us and what we’re called on to do.
What sparks my admiration in others [and also motivates me] is essentially people who take interest in hobbies and make their leisure-time fulfilling (rather than just choosing to do nothing or engaging in consistent brain rot routines), while choosing to be effective and efficient (producing quality work) during their busy-time.
To me, it helps to create a world full of fulfilled and purposeful individuals who have a lot to offer in life. They stand out and make a difference, and are also well positioned for many rewards, opportunities, advantages, and advancements in life.
