Job 1:8-12 NLT “Then the LORD asked Satan, “Have you noticed my servant Job? He is the finest man in all the earth. He is blameless—a man of complete integrity. He fears God and stays away from evil.” 9Satan replied to the LORD, “Yes, but Job has good reason to fear God. 10You have always put a wall of protection around him and his home and his property. You have made him prosper in everything he does. Look how rich he is! 11But reach out and take away everything he has, and he will surely curse you to your face!”“All right, you may test him,” the LORD said to Satan. “Do whatever you want with everything he possesses, but don’t harm him physically.” So Satan left the LORD’s presence.“
Satan is always patrolling and roaming throughout the earth and he is not exempt from presenting himself before God. But when he does, he does so as an accuser, not as an advocate. There is always a Judas among the brethren, and he too is heard. And when he comes before the Lord, is it an honor for God to mention your name as one who is highly esteemed? Or, is it a curse?
The bible says in Revelation 2:23 “I am He who searches the minds and hearts.”
This is essentially our thoughts and intentions. Satan does not have that kind of access. So depending on the way you live your life, it can be very evident as to what (the things) and whom (the people) you center or revolve your life around. Satan will then use what/whom he assumes consumes your heart to try to prove to God that those possessions are what feeds your devotion to your faith, and therefore the only reasons that you are likewise faithful to God; “for where your treasure is, there your heart [your wishes, your desires; that on which your life centers] will be also.” (Matt 6:21 AMP). Is your heart tied up in everything and everyone close to you? Do you have good reason to fear God? Or, as long as you yourself is not harmed, will you continue to praise the Lord, despite loosing everything?
“Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift all of you as wheat. 32 But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.” Luke 22:31-34 NIV
Something to think about,
