Understanding God’s word is so important. Because it helps us to separate our perspective from the spiritual perspective. We don’t just want to base our Christian living from our own worldly understanding, but we want to ensure that we receive of the Lord’s knowledge. The bible says in Proverbs 19:2 “…it is not good for a person to be without knowledge…” And what is knowledge? The definition of knowledge is facts, information, and skills that’s gained through experience. This definition is based on our minds interpretation from a worldly perspective; but God deals with the heart.

What the bible refers to as knowledge is the combination of wisdom and instruction that is revealed through the heart by the mind of the spirit. In the world we listen with our ears, but in the spirit we listen with our heart to hear what the Lord is saying.
